Why do disease symptoms develop where they do in the body? Why do some patient symptoms improve after treatment, and other patients fail to get better? How can we reduce drug development costs and develop resistance-proof antimicrobial treatments?
These are all big questions that the McCall lab seeks to answer using cutting-edge metabolomics technologies such as chemical cartography, the study of chemical interactions in 3D.
