Most people cannot name a scientist when asked to do so (see here), but we’re everywhere! In an effort to increase our visibility, I am proposing a new initiative, tentatively called “I’m a scientist – ask me!”. It’s simple: participating scientists commit to telling at least one stranger per month about their work and why it matters. I’ve designed a T-shirt conversation-starter…
